With 10 years’ experience within the renewable energy sector, and more predominately Offshore Wind, Vicky Mant, Director of Business Development for RenewableUK (started there in 2019) oversees and maximises the sales of the renewable energy association’s events and membership. Vicky maintains and grows the commercial side of RenewableUK through new revenue streams such as; webinars (Ports & Vessels series) and new sectors (Green Hydrogen / Future Energy Systems) and grows the size of the current portfolio of events e.g. Global Offshore Wind through partnerships and sponsorships.
Vicky developed new initiatives within regional locations to help engage RenewableUK with local companies, (predominately supply chain companies) within regions & clusters of the U.K. and she also chairs a monthly industry associations & clusters group to discuss collaborative working.
Previously, Vicky worked at a local newspaper on the South Coast, mainly working within the property industry and volunteering for the Southampton Property Association (SPA) for 10 years organising networking events, before moving to renewables industry trade publication, reNEWS as Sales & Marketing Manager in 2012.
Client engagement through business development principles and networking are key factors in Vicky’s career, priding herself on relationships made over the years within the industry, and also using social media (LinkedIn) to help promote the work of the renewables sector and all its stakeholders.
