OPITO
: Director of Operations
Alex leads OPITO’s global strategic development, quality assurance and energy
transition teams.
The quality assurance teams support OPITO’s network of more than 230 centres across
over 52 countries, training over 450,000 delegates each year.
The strategic development teams are tasked with leading dialogue with governments and
industry to broaden the uptake of OPITO standards to ensure a safe and skilled workforce.
The energy transition team is responsible for OPITO’s strategy across offshore wind,
hydrogen and CCUS.
Alex has an extensive background in training and assessment at a senior level, both in the
private and public sector. He joined OPITO in 2013 and has held several senior roles within
the organisation.
Most recently, Alex led the creation and delivery of OPITO’s product suite for the
Renewable Energy workforce and is also part of the Senior Leadership Team within OPITO.
