We once again celebrated the end of day one with a much deserved drink or glass of prosecco whilst watching our local businesses pitch their new ideas and innovations. The audience voted for the best pitch, with Dr Amy Kingston of Tide Medical being voted the winner and receiving a bottle of champagne.
Day one of the event was rounded-off with our Gala Dinner. The evening commenced with drinks and canapes on arrival and provided a relaxed, informal setting for networking with 300 industry professionals over canapes and a two-course dinner, created especially for the event by the renowned locally-based Norfolk Garden Kitchen, followed by music and dancing.
Firstly, massive congratulations to EEEGR on pulling together such a fantastic event. This will have been my 5th Southern North Sea Conference, and I must say it felt incredibly new and fresh. Big elements such as a great programme, diversity of speakers the single stage, down to the background music in the exhibition really made the event feel like we were changing direction for the better. I couldn’t provide feedback without mentioning the video – it was great! You could literally see in the room, everyone in the room looking up from notebooks, phones, and laptops to pay attention, certainly set the tone for the rest of the conference.
What a fantastic two days it’s been at SNS 2024.
The conference and exhibition have been filled with exciting business developments in our East of England region. We’ve built meaningful connections and explored the future of our industry.
A special focus has been placed on inspiring the younger generation and engaging, and empowering, the next wave of talent to drive our sector forward.
Thank you EEEGR (East of England Energy Group)!
We just wanted to say hello and well done for the SNS last week, you did a great job. It’s a difficult task, but how it ran made it look easy, it was seamless. It had a very chilled feel about it, but it made the whole event relaxed and more inclusive I think.
Just wanted to say what a great event it has been over the last 2 days. Top job by you and the EEEGR team for organising and being involved! Loved your hosting on stage yesterday!
I just thought I’d drop you a line to say well done in your efforts for SNS24. I know it must have been quite daunting taking it all on, but you did great!
Once again, well done, and have a great (long!) weekend!
Good Morning Karen, firstly may I congratulate you and your team on a well run event and we all got a lot out of it. The EEEGR event definitely attracts the people that we deal with week in week out and so it’s a very good event. All your work is appreciated.
Reflecting on what was an incredible two days at EEEGR (East of England Energy Group) flagship conference and exhibition SNS2024. It was an amazing event.
Thank you to Norfolk’s Tier One suppliers for joining up to delivering 160 1-2-1 meet the buyer sessions and to EEEGR (East of England Energy Group) for a great event and support across the two days.
Fantastic couple of days at my first EEEGR (East of England Energy Group) SNS24 event!
The focus on ‘one community working together’ really shone through with success stories from the East of England demonstrating the importance of this region as an energy hub within the wider ecosystem. It was particularly great to see diversity and inclusion/skills woven through the whole programme, with key examples of local impact and engagement.
Myself and Umair Patel (Rampion 2 Project Lead) were excited to be able to represent our project at the SNS2024 conference yesterday.
Umair joined a panel of amazing speakers giving updates on their projects, speaking on the challenges and opportunities that their projects bring.
We are grateful to EEEGR (East of England Energy Group) for allowing us to be part of the day given we are not an East of England project, however as many of our potential supply chain are within this region, it was great to share an update on Rampion 2 and connect with a number of suppliers.
We look forward to taking part next year!
WE WON! This week at EEEGR (East of England Energy Group) SNS2024 for the best pitch and innovation. It’s always great to receive recongnition for the effort that goes into making something. We would like to thank the entire audience for this. It was them that voted for this win.
We would also like to thank Imogen Stevenson from Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, GENERATE, East Coast College – Commercial Training, and EEEGR (East of England Energy Group). Without them, this would not have been possible. It takes a lot of work to put events on.
Like a good party, it does need great people attending to make it a success. The feedback I received from everyone, is that this was a “quality event”. How will we improve on this exhibition’s achievement next year?
Thats the end of Day 2 for the EEEGR (East of England Energy Group) SNS 2024 and what an event it has been.
Same again please Kevin Keable and Team.
