Waves Group is an independent Marine and Engineering Consultancy to the offshore energy and marine industries. We are a leading provider of marine consultancy, engineering and warranty surveys to the offshore renewable energy sector. We specialise in fixed and floating foundations, subsea cables, wind turbine generators, wave and tidal and offshore platforms. We have leading industry experience in the installation and maintenance of tidal stream sites.
Core to Waves Group’s business is the provision of marine warranty surveys for a wide variety of offshore and marine projects, using our extensive experience to help mitigate risks for our clients. We assist assureds, underwriters, brokers and contractors by reviewing and approving the transport and installation of the high value equipment and assets that make up renewable energy devices. We review all relevant engineering documentation and procedures to satisfy ourselves that best practice and the relevant standards and regulations are complied with.
We have over 15 years’ experience in offshore projects including wind farm developments ranging from multi-billion euro projects through to individual demonstrator units, including floating wind turbines. Our projects have included monopile jacket foundations, wind turbines (towers, blades and nacelles), offshore sub-stations and sub-sea power cables – including the laying and burying of high voltage AC and DC submarine power cables (including intercontinental cables, interconnectors, renewable energy export and array cables).
