UEA (University of East Anglia) Engineering Department

The University of East Anglia is one of the region's premier research and training organisations. It offers research and consultancy services in a range of relevant fields from engineering and environmental sciences to business management and from innovation to information services, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Energy Engineering with Environmental Management which have been developed with the support of EEEGR.

UEA is 10th in the UK for the quality of its research output and 21st overall amongst all mainstream British institutions in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014.

The REF results show that more than 82 per cent of UEA research is classified as either world leading or internationally excellent, confirming UEAs position as a premier research institution making a substantial impact on the global challenges facing society.

UEA is ranked in the top 1% of HE institutions in the world and is a leading member of the Norwich Research Park, one of Europe's biggest concentrations of researchers in the fields of environment, health and plant science and is a UK top 15 university, ranking 14th in the highly respected Guardian University Guide and the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2015.
