Tide Medical

Tide Medical was founded in the summer of 2024 with the primary aim of offering a personalised service to local companies. Founded by Amy Kingston, it delivers occupational health, first aid training and well-being services out of a large office space in Gorleston. They were proud to be the recipients of the end of year award for its positive impact in the Norfolk community.

The expanding team of four supports businesses across the world to work safely, both on land and offshore by providing a range of occupational health medical. These include OEUK, renewable and ENG1 medicals. Given some remote working locations there is often a need for more specialist medicals and Tide medical also offers blood tests and vaccinations to assist Wirth this. Behind the scenes our team spends a lot of time off site undertaking health surveillance and screening, including hearing reviews and spirometry. We are also trained in more specialist areas such as licensed asbestos and lead medicals. We work closely with companies from all sectors to help with fitness review and back to work consultations. and drug and alcohol testing.

It also provides first aid training opportunities and is in the process of developing and launching a number of new training workshops and initiatives based on workplace health and wellbeing, an area of paramount importance to developers, operators and the supply chain across the whole of the energy industry.

Its Lifestyle Medical offer supports clients to prevent, manage and reverse chronic conditions using behaviour change skills and techniques to create and maintain lifestyle changes.

Tide Medical's new Stress and Resilience Training Workshop looks at how stress builds internally over time, impacting a person's overall wellbeing. The workshop is designed to help people manage internal pressure, providing tools and techniques to release tension and build resilience.

Amy began her career as a physiotherapist and went on to study medicine locally at UEA. She started her occupational health career at Wrighway health whilst working concurrently in emergency medicine. She also provides emergency topside cover as part of the VHS team for United Healthcare Global.
