The Bridge for Heroes
In June 2011, the charity opened its first high street Contact Centre in the town of King's Lynn, Norfolk. During the last two years that it has been in operation, the Charity has had over 14,000 visitors to the Contact Centre, delivered 2,500 support sessions and helped directly 500 beneficiaries. We have also hosted 6 school visits and had 2,500 children visit during the Christmas period. The support we have delivered during this period has ranged from respite breaks, pensions advice, compensation claims, housing advice, service records, veteran's advice and guidance, Military Historical research and other support issues that have arisen. With so many visitors to the Centre, this has enabled awareness within the wider community of the various issues effecting both serving and former members of Her Majesty's Armed Forces
- Early Idendification of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Readjustment of Troops
- Enviromental Issues using Troops
- Transition to work of HM Forces
