The business trades from seven locations in the UK; running from East through West - Lowestoft, Dover, HMNB Portsmouth, Southampton (Head Office), Poole, HMNB Devonport and Avonmouth, nr Bristol. Our principle shareholders are all British, with a genuine passion for the UK maritime sector and UK Plc. The SMS Group is unique in the UK; principally due to the longevity of major projects the business is in the enviable position of having numerous marine centric services and trades in-house. The Group offers thirteen in-house core propositions to its customer base - structural and mechanical engineering, electrical and hydraulic engineering, insulation, diving and sub-surface engineering, pipe works, interior and exterior outfit, flooring, logistics and blasting and painting. All service and trades are available for all locations. Lowestoft Site have people with the capability of Oil & Gas, Marine Civils, Power stations, Nuclear, Offshore renewable wind & tidal, shipbuilding & ship repair trade functions.
