Job Description
On behalf of our client, VGC Group are recruiting for an Industrial Safety Manager to join their team in Leiston on a permanent basis.
The Industrial Safety Manager will be:
*Responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of the safety strategy in line with the objects and direction of the UKBU.
*Interpret the strategy of the safety, environment and quality model at an individual site, so that physical and emotional wellbeing is their most critical priority.
*Work closely with the Industrial Safety Director and Leadership teams to improve safety perfo9rmance and manage potential high risks.
*Responsible for monthly reports and support operational delivery of all health and safety programmes.
*Responsible for ensuring their site operates to the highest health and safety standards and engages at all levels to ensure continuous improvement, promoting the positive safety culture.
*Supporting incident investigations
Qualifications:
Essential:
NEBOSH Diploma
ISO9001 Internal Auditor Training
ISO14001 Internal Auditor Training and/or Environmental foundation management certification (IEMA/NEBOSH Equivalent)
Related work experience, including application of health and safety principles and practice in a waste/recycling, engineering, construction, industrial or logistics environment
Working knowledge of UK and EU safety and environmental regulations
Working knowledge & management of ISO45001,9001,14001 standards
