About the Operations Manager Role:

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and competent Operations Manager to join our Management Team in the Great Yarmouth Office.  This Client facing role will lead the day-to-day operations of one of our offshore installations by managing the offshore crew and working closely with internal teams, clients, contractors and regulatory bodies to maintain safe, efficient and effective offshore operations on behalf of the Client.

A full description of the role is available on request; the key responsibilities are:

  • Lead the day-to-day management of offshore operations, ensuring compliance with Safety Cases and ODEAM’s Asset Management Strategy.
  • Provide visible Process Safety Management and Leadership in controlling Major Accident Hazards (MAHs).
  • Engage with regulators such as the HSE Executive, OGA, BEIS and IVB to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Act as Installation Operator and/or Pipeline Operator focal point.
  • Drive team performance and maintain effective team management, including recruitment, competency assessment, and appraisal systems.
  • Manage offshore and onshore interfaces, logistics, production planning, maintenance, and integrity resources.
  • Monitor and control budget performance, forecast planning, and reporting, while identifying efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure the availability of resources and plans to support Safety Critical Work and asset uptime.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, audits, and emergency response activities where appropriate.

Skills, Experience and qualities we are looking for:

  • Proven leadership in offshore oil and gas operations
  • Strong track record in client-facing roles and contractor management
  • Extensive experience with Process Safety Management, Safety Cases, and managing Major accident Hazards
  • In-depth understanding of offshore operations, production, and asset integrity
  • Previous experience with Installation Operator and Pipeline Operator responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability in team management, budget management and performance improvement
  • Confident communicator with Client, regulators and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Relevant engineering degree and preferable qualifications in offshore operations and health and safety
