The Innovation Grant Mentoring Programme will host a targeted webinar titled “What is Innovation Funding?”, designed to raise awareness and build capacity among regional SMEs exploring grant opportunities for research and development.
This session will be led by experienced mentors Colm Watling and Liz Flint, and will cover:
- An overview of innovation funding and its role in driving commercial growth
- Guidance on accessing Innovate UK grants, including application strategy and eligibility
- Insights into funding sources — from public bodies to private investors
- Practical advice on timing, partnerships, and bid success factors
The Innovation Grant Mentoring Programme is a fully funded initiative supporting SMEs across Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex. To date, it has helped businesses secure £3.1 million in innovation funding and continues to offer tailored mentoring and bid coaching at no cost to participants.
