Course Overview
The NEBOSH National General Certificate (NGC) is the most widely held health and safety qualification in the UK. It provides a broad understanding of health and safety principles and is essential for anyone looking to build a career in occupational safety, or for managers and supervisors who need to manage risk in the workplace.
What You’ll Learn
The NGC is assessed using the Open Book Examination (OBE) format and is divided into two units:
NG1 – Management of Health and Safety: Health and safety management systems, risk assessment, leadership and worker involvement, monitoring and review, and the legal framework
NG2 – Risk Assessment: A practical risk assessment of your own workplace, demonstrating your ability to identify hazards, evaluate risk, and recommend proportionate controls
