Martyn’s Law Workshop: Awareness & Readiness
Wednesday 25 November 2026 | The Nest, Norwich
Join Norvic Security Group for a practical introductory workshop bringing together people from across Norfolk and East Anglia to learn, connect and prepare.
If you manage a venue, organise events or have responsibility for staff and visitor safety, this is an opportunity to build your understanding of Martyn’s Law, explore practical situations and consider your organisation’s next steps.
Expect accessible explanations, practical discussion and opportunities to ask questions in a welcoming setting. No specialist security background is needed.
What we’ll cover
- Scope and roles: Explore the purpose of Martyn’s Law, the responsibilities to consider and who may need to be involved within your organisation.
- Incident response: Think through practical decisions, communication and how teams can work together when an incident occurs.
- Recovery and action planning: Consider what happens after the initial response and identify practical next steps to support your organisation’s preparations.
The workshop is designed to help you connect the discussion to your own workplace, venue or events, giving you a starting point for further planning.
Who is it for?
Business owners, venue managers, event organisers, operations and facilities teams, and anyone involved in keeping staff, visitors or customers safe.
Time to connect
Alongside the learning, there will be opportunities to meet other attendees, exchange experiences and build connections with people facing similar questions.
Refreshments will be available throughout, and lunch is included.
Come along with your questions, join the conversation and take the next step towards greater awareness and readiness.
