Event Description

A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE DIRECTLY WITH OPERATORS

We are delighted to be partnering with the NSTA to bring our members the opportunity to take part in two upcoming Energy Transition Hackathons. The UK and The Netherlands have been close partners for many decades, particularly in driving the energy sector forward, and in conjunction with Elemental NL and Navingo the first event will be held at the RAI Conference Centre in Amsterdam on 25 November (coinciding with Offshore Energies conference and exhibition) with the second being held in Norwich on 5 December.

Why?

With a focus on reducing greenhouse gasses over the North Sea basin, industry needs to accelerate its efforts to decarbonise offshore hydrocarbon production. All operators are required to achieve 50% net zero by 2030 and to eliminate CO2 emissions by 2050 which will inevitably create challenges. While some solutions already exist, more will be required and there are many innovative solutions being developed within the supply chain, however there is an apparent lack of connection between operators and suppliers.

These events will bring together the Operators and specialist supply chain technology experts with a track record in ore of more of the following themed areas:

  • Offshore Electrification
  • CCUS and Offshore CO2 capture and utilization
  • Incremental decarbonization / emissions reduction

The event will provide a safe environment to collaborate and have an open discussion on the challenges and potential solutions to help drive net zero projects and the global energy transition in a cost-effective way.  It will highlight the technology capabilities already present in the UK and The Netherlands as well as provide an opportunity to seek further solutions.

Format of the Event:

The format of the event will be for the Operators to provide a high-level overview of technology and cost challenges to a diverse supply chain audience followed by an in-depth facilitated dialogue with supply chain organisations on a theme-by-theme basis to identify where solutions exist and how they can be deployed.

As the aim is to find technical solutions, the intention is for the detailed discussions to be between the Operators and technical engineers rather than business development personnel.
