The CTV Clarity Project: Better Stories and Better Vessel Insights – Turner Iceni Ltd

Company Information
We are a crew transfer vessel owner working in offshore wind. What this means is we provide transport services to wind farm owners to get their technicians from shore and onto wind turbines. Our vessels hold up to 12 passengers, and we physically push onto the turbines with our specialist vessels allowing the technicians to safely transfer onto the ladders at the base of the turbines. We wait out for them to carry out their maintenance works and then take them back to shore. We also carry out more complex and bespoke operations supporting the offshore wind sector (these are less common).
Project Overview
Turner Iceni vessels carry up to 12 passengers and use specialist techniques to push onto turbines, allowing technicians to safely transfer onto ladders at the base of the turbine.
Once technicians are offshore, Turner Iceni vessels remain on standby while maintenance works are carried out before transporting technicians safely back to shore. In addition to standard crew transfer operations, Turner Iceni also undertakes more complex and bespoke operations in support of the offshore wind sector.
We have a back-office team, and currently our website is managed by our Commercial Department and a third-party IT provider. The website is hosted by a content management system. This means that making changes internally is very accessible. For a while now, we have wanted to improve:
A) the visibility and technical overview of our fleet on our vessel page and
B) produce industry leading opinion pieces, FAQs and blog posts to be used and circulated to our customers and social media networks.
The impact we intend is to demonstrate we are industry leaders and improve engagement/visibility.
Project Aim
The aim of this project is to improve Turner Iceni’s customer engagement and digital presence by clarifying how its fleet operates, improving the presentation of vessel information, and creating industry-focused written content that demonstrates expertise in marine and offshore wind operations.
