Project Overview

This project focuses on understanding men’s mental health in offshore energy and how employers can better support wellbeing through evidence-based approaches and clear communication.

Project Aim

We would like the project to produce a clear, evidence-based report summarising men’s mental health in offshore energy, including key challenges, barriers to seeking help, and recommendations for employers. A presentation or workshop could share findings with industry leaders. We also aim for a survey database of worker responses, and practical communications materials such as a white paper, social media content ideas, and an employer toolkit to help companies support mental health and wellbeing effectively.

Why This Project Is Valuable

This project is valuable because it helps improve understanding of mental health challenges faced by offshore workers, particularly men. Tide Medical can use the findings to strengthen workplace health and wellbeing services, while OnPoint PR can use the insights to help businesses communicate about mental health more clearly and effectively. The project supports the shared goal of improving workplace health while strengthening how organisations talk about wellbeing.
