As a growing consultancy, Immerse Safety uses a flexible team model and offers interns close supervision and meaningful involvement in real business activity.
Project Overview
This project involves researching, designing, and implementing a digital dashboard to help the business better understand operational activity, workload, business development, and sustainability impacts. The project will result in a practical system that can be used and maintained beyond the placement.
Project Aim
To design and implement a simple, effective digital dashboard that supports data-driven decision-making and improves understanding of how the business operates and grows.
Key Research Questions

What You Will Do
- Research and compare digital tools for data capture and visualisation.
- Identify and define appropriate performance indicators.
- Design the structure and layout of the dashboard.
- Build and test the dashboard using real or anonymised data.
- Analyse trends and insights from the data.
- Produce clear guidance and deliver a handover or demonstration.
Science, Engineering and Technical Understanding
The project develops understanding of safety systems and sustainability considerations within construction and energy supply chains. It applies systems thinking to the design of a reliable digital solution and uses data analysis and visualisation to support evidence-based decisions.
Planning and Organisation
You will create a project plan covering research, design, development, testing, and handover stages. Progress will be reviewed through regular supervisor check-ins to ensure the project remains achievable within the placement timeframe.
