E-Colours features in new NEBOSH Verified safety leadership course

Surrey, UK | 6 October 2026 – Equilibria’s E-Colours methodology is at the heart of a new one day NEBOSH Verified Personality Based Safety Leadership course announced today by Hillmont Associates.

The course applies personality awareness to safety conversations and risk management. It helps leaders consider how colleagues may hear a message, approach risk, respond to pressure and raise a concern differently. The purpose is to adapt communication and build conditions in which errors can be spotted and discussed earlier.

A language for difference

E-Colours helps people discuss preferences, strengths and potential limiters. It does not put people into fixed boxes or claim that one style is inherently safer. Participants use individual knowledge, perception and personality styles, and learn Personal Intervention (Pause and Play) as well as workplace examples to reflect on briefings, decisions, listening and constructive challenge.

“E-Colours makes differences easier to discuss. When leaders adapt how they communicate and listen, more people can contribute what they notice before a misunderstanding becomes an error.” – Mark Wilkinson

Beyond the course

Teams can use the shared language after the learning day in coaching, leadership development and conversations about how work is actually done. Hillmont Associates delivers the course using the Equilibria methodology.

About Equilibria

Equilibria uses E-Colours to help individuals and teams understand behavioural and communication preferences and adapt more consciously in leadership, teamwork and performance.

Course details

The one-day, live NEBOSH Verified Personality Based Safety Leadership course is delivered by Hillmont Associates online or in person using Equilibria’s E-Colours methodology. It is intended for leaders, managers, supervisors and safety professionals, indeed anyone who has a responsibility around putting people to work. Learners use their E-Colours awareness to recognise strengths and potential limiters, adapt communication, invite concerns and challenge, identify conditions that make errors more likely, and choose practical actions to reduce avoidable errors. For organisations, these skills can support clearer briefings, earlier reporting of concerns, better learning from mistakes and more effective leadership conversations. The course includes an assessment; successful learners can receive a jointly badged NEBOSH Verified certificate. Organisations can also enquire about dedicated cohorts.
