Earlier this month, the Offshore Wind Industry Council published a new suite of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) best practice guides for the offshore wind sector, which have been designed to support businesses and their supply chains in building inclusive cultures, attracting and retaining diverse talent, and embedding equity across operations, partnerships, and decision-making.
Beyond their structural benefits, these practices have a profound impact on individuals. When people feel valued, respected, and supported, their confidence and creativity soars, which fuels the innovation needed to drive clean energy forward. For the industry, this translates into stronger collaboration, ground-breaking solutions, and greater overall resilience.
To mark publication of the guides, we are hosting a webinar at 11:00am on Tuesday 30 June to discuss their contents and outline how members can make best use of them. This discussion will be hosted by RenewableUK’s Skills Manager James Lord, alongside Dr Marijana Baric and Dr Jade Stalker, the authors of the guides, as well as Celia Anderson, Skills Strategy Lead at RWE Renewables Offshore, and Ranjit Mene, Energy Commercial Director at RINA.
