The East of England made a strong impression at the Global Offshore Wind 2026 conference in Manchester, with its regional pavilion attracting significant interest from delegates over the course of the conference.
Throughout the event, the East of England stand was a hub of activity, hosting a steady stream of conversations focused on the region’s growing contribution to the UK’s offshore wind ambitions. Delegates were keen to explore the expertise, innovation and supply chain capabilities that continue to position the East of England as a key player in the sector’s future growth.
Industry partners from the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), EastWind and GENERATE were welcoming visitors to our stand, highlighting the region’s offshore wind capabilities, extensive supply chain strengths and the wide range of opportunities available across the renewable energy sector.
Day two of the conference began with RenewableUK Women in Wind Networking Breakfast ‘Securing the Future: Reflections from Day One’, bringing together a panel of professionals from across the industry to celebrate and support diversity within the offshore wind workforce and discussions on how to nurture and encourage girls from a young age to ‘Secure the Future’. The event saw strong attendance from East of England businesses, with many members exhibiting across the show floor.

It was great to see so many of our members exhibiting including Gardline, showcasing their expertise from the Boskalis stand, alongside Proserv, ScottishPower Renewables, North Star, Cadeler, Hytorc, Spirit Advisory, TGS 4C, Ørsted, Equinor, Cargostore, Sievi, Clarksons, ABP, Peel Ports and XOcean. Fantastic to catch up with other EEEGR members in attendance including Danielle High and Jon Skillen from Tri-Tech Contracting, Rachel Moore and Louisa Lay from OnPoint PR, Russ Hill from Renewable Energy Marine Consultants and Jonty Cherryman from Rix Renewables.
As Global Offshore Wind wraps up for 2026, the East of England remains firmly in the spotlight, demonstrating the skills, experience and collaborative approach that are helping to drive the UK’s clean energy transition and support the continued expansion of offshore wind.
