Peterson continues funding support to Lowestoft & District Foodbank

Peterson, a global leader logistics and supply chain solutions for the offshore energy sectors, has committed to a second year of funding the transport costs for Lowestoft and District Foodbank.

The donation removes a crucial direct overhead for the charity allowing it to focus on they key services it provides to thousands of families in the region.

Peterson employs more than thirty people in the region, with warehouse and quayside facilities at Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.

Lowestoft & District Foodbank is currently operated by The Rob Clarke Community Trust and last year supplied 12,000 people with emergency food.

Mark Jary, Operations Manager at Peterson, said:

“We have seen the impact that the foodbank makes to families in the area, and are proud to continue our support for Sam and his team in the year ahead. Covering the delivery van costs means that the team is able to direct vital resources to the frontline services and products, ensuring help reaches those who need it most.”

Sam Porter from Lowestoft & District Foodbank said:

“The support we receive from Peterson Energy Logistics is amazing. Knowing these costs are covered allows us to focus on supporting the people struggling in our community. It makes a huge difference and we really are very grateful.”
