Delta Fire – Norfolk businessman named an exemplar in his field

A Norfolk manufacturer has received national recognition from two leading organisations for his industry talent and expertise.

Jordon King, of Delta Fire in Norwich, has been named one of the top 100 UK manufacturing industry leaders by the industry’s most prestigious publication The Manufacturer, as well as one of LDC’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders of 2025.

LDC, a private equity investor, part of Lloyds Banking Group, created the Top 50 Ones to Watch, in partnership with The Times Newspaper.

Now in its eighth year, the programme celebrates the drive and ambition of Britain’s best and brightest entrepreneurs, who are making significant progress and scaling their businesses, creating jobs, making a difference in the communities they serve, championing sustainability, developing new ideas to innovate and diversify and expanding internationally.

The LDC award, which this year had almost 700 nominations, was presented at London’s Bafta and Jordon was included in a top 50 supplement in The Times Newspaper.

The Manufacturer Top 100 awards scour the length and breadth of the nation to find the most dynamic leaders and innovators in manufacturing.

It celebrates the heroes of UK manufacturing and recognises their contribution to net zero, digital transformation, innovation and leadership. The awards also shine a light on sector activists and the young pioneers making an impact in the industry, disproportionate to their years.

Alongside the Top 100 accolade, Jordon was also named one of the top 20 in his field.

The 29-year-old, who is currently studying for an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) at the University of East Anglia concurrently with his career, was a key player in achieving Delta Fire’s double King’s Award for Enterprise win in the spring.

As Chief Environmental Officer for the business, Jordon has led it to its status of net zero in its energy operations and has plans to install a helical wind turbine at the facility on Broadland Business Park to further enhance the company’s sustainability commitment.

Jordon said: “Winning a double King’s Awards for our work in innovation and sustainable development was the most brilliant recognition as we have worked so hard to achieve net zero and address the climate emergency”.

“To be named one of the top 20 exemplars in manufacturing, to be featured in the Top 100 in the UK and also one of the top 50 business leaders by LDC is incredible and really belongs to the wider Delta Fire team, who have all significantly contributed to our successes as an organisation, while simultaneously helping to put Norfolk manufacturing on the map.”

Molly Cooper, Features Editor at The Manufacturer, said: “Jordon was recognised as one of 20 exemplars in The Manufacturer Top 100 2025 for his dynamic leadership at Delta Fire.

“He plays a key role in the company, helping to secure two King’s Awards for Enterprise, while also contributing to local politics and industry initiatives, all alongside studying for an MBA.

“His commitment and impact demonstrate a dedication that goes above and beyond his role in the manufacturing sector.”
