EEEGR Member Delta Fire were invited to attend a special reception at Windsor Castle, hosted by His Majesty The King, to celebrate them receiving two King’s Awards for Enterprise, for Innovation and Sustainability.
Ian Gardner and Jordon King attended on behalf of Delta Fire and had the honour of meeting His Majesty, and HRH The Princess Royal.
Jordon said: “Attending the King’s Award reception at Windsor Castle with my grandfather has been an unforgettable moment. It’s a memory that will stay with me, much like my first day of “working” at Delta Fire, over 20 years ago! When I was 5 years old, my grandfather took me on the train to Buckingham Palace to deliver an order from Delta Fire. I remember at the time, I was very excited to meet Her Majesty the Queen, but unfortunately, I didn’t go beyond Goods In! To have now had the honour of meeting His Majesty the King is incredibly surreal. I would like to thank all the team at Delta Fire, the King’s Award Office, and all of those who have supported us on this journey.“
