EEEGR’s Skills for Energy initiative took to the road this month with three separate trips to Essex to support careers and skills opportunities in the region.
Aligned with EEEGR’s mission to promote the Energy Industry across East Anglia, Skills for Energy Manager Suzanne Allan and Events Assistant Will Norris represented the industry at the What’s Next Clacton, the Colchester Careers Fair and the North Essex Business Expo.
Suzanne Allen said:
“It was great to be part of the What’s Next event in Clacton; we spoke to some wonderful young people about career paths and hope to see some of them pursuing jobs in the Energy Industry over the next few years”.
Skills for Energy is currently working with Tendring District Council to promote STEM learning and inform local students about the variety of opportunities available to them within the Energy Industry. Through this, we hope to both help in closing the skills gap we are currently experiencing and allow our member companies to benefit from a new generation of skilled workers who will continue to maintain the growth of the industry in the region.
